A total of 102 SANY wind turbines were used in the Adama II, a wind power project implemented by Power China. It’s the largest wind power project in Ethiopia, satisfying 20% of power demand in the capital, Addis Ababa. This project is one of the many successful cooperation cases between SANY and Power China.
On July 24, Sany Group and Power Construction Corporation of China (Power China) signed a strategic agreement, marking deeper cooperation between the two sides in wider areas in the future.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Sany Group Chairman Liang Wengen and Power China Chairman Yan Zhiyong.
SANY has been a major wind turbines supplier for Power China. Liang recalled cooperation between SANY and Power China over the past six years, saying that the Chinese industry-leading heavy equipment manufacturer will further strengthen its cooperation with Power China in a wide range of areas in accordance with China's Belt and Road Initiative.
As cooperation between the two sides deepened over years, both companies have greatly benefited from it, said Power China Chairman Yan Zhiyong. Yan suggested that the two companies should make innovation in cooperation models and focus on supply-side reform, water treatment, and wind power.
