In the boundless landscape of philanthropic initiatives, SANY Tinker Education project aims to provide quality education to our future generations in rural areas. As momentum grew, a dedicated group of Tinker teachers was established, eager to make a difference. Through their tireless efforts, they brought the Tinker Education philosophy of "Learning by Doing" to life, igniting a spark of curiosity and creativity in the minds of their students. Like sailors navigating through storms, their commitment drove them to empower students, making this initiative a beacon of hope for children in need.

From autumn to spring

In the late autumn of 2023, a team of compassionate volunteers embarked on a journey into Western Hunan, a rural region in China. Earlier this year, a bitter cold air swept through the region. Witnessing the challenges faced by the local education personally, they were deeply moved and collected donations of brand-new winter clothes, aiming to provide warmth and extend love to the students of the schools participating in the Tinker Education project during the late winter chill. The donation and distribution of the clothes in March lashed a wave of warmth for the cold rainy season.

Voices of volunteers

Teacher Yuan passionately recalled a special moment during her teamwork when there was a conflict arising from the distribution of materials. With empathy and patience, she solved the conflict by incorporating a student's ingenious ideas and considering the group's collective opinions. “This experience not only sharpened my teaching skills but also nurtured the teamwork abilities of my students. I was inspired by our transformative journey and I am really excited to participate in future programs, said Yuan.

Teacher Shao shared his unforgettable experience on the Science and Technology Day of the school. With his guidance, his students were encouraged to create artwork and funny pieces. “We were filled with surprise and pride at the moment we unveiled our creations. Our school principal commended our work and offered suggestions to make it better. An opportunity to foster creativity and inspire innovation like this means so much for us”, said Yao.

Teacher Han emphasized the transformative impact of Tinker Education on the rural left-behind children. Despite resource constraints, her students discovered alternative uses for discarded materials, turning them into creative works. This initiative promoted the utilization of waste materials and brought more fun to the learning process, which was in line with the essential spirit of the project.

Wrapped in Warmth

The kids were over the moon about their new cozy sweaters! Zeng, one of the students, couldn't contain his gratitude, saying, "Big thanks to all the kind people. The new sweaters not just keep us warm but wrap us in love and care!"

Wang, another student, had a similar tale. "I used to feel so awkward because I didn't have new clothes, especially during Chinese New Year. I'd rather stay home than face the embarrassment. But now, I want to be a volunteer someday to spread the love to more people!"
