There are nearly 600 units of SANY equipment on the island.

With total investment reaches US$30 billion, Qingshan Industrial Park was signed at the witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Susiloin in 2013. When the project is completed, it will form a production chain with an annual power generation capacity of 1130 MW, a nickel-iron production capacity of 1.5 million tons, and a steelmaking capacity of 3 million tons. It is also the first substantive project of deepening cooperation between China and Indonesia.

SY215C is the main force in the construction of Qingshan Industrial Park.

The person in charge of the Qingshan Industrial Park said: “At present, nearly 600 units of Sany excavators have participated in the construction of the park. The whole island is full of Sany excavators and can be seen everywhere."

A total of 299 units of SY215C participated in the construction. It is reported that SY215C, as the most exported model in 2018, has undertaken the most important work in the construction of nickel-iron smelters, stainless steel processing plants and supporting power plants. In addition, SY215C is also used for nickel mining, dock construction, loading, etc.

However, in order to adapt to the working condition, Sany has made some improvements on the 139 units of SY365H, for example, widened the track from 600mm to 800mm, upgraded the standard bucket into rock bucket or plus bucket, equipped with a short stick, thickened the bottom guard, added hammer pipe line, etc.

Due to the high efficiency of Sany excavators, the main part of the industrial park has been completed at the end of April, and the new section of the project has started smoothly recently.

Boost the local economic development

The purchaser is a regular customer of Sany. In 2014, he purchased 6 units of SY215C excavators for the first time, and additional purchases were made every year. “The performance of Sany excavator is superior and the service is awesome. Sany excavator has become a weapon for local economic development.” said the customer.

Sany excavators can be seen everywhere.

In Sulawesi, where Qingshan Industrial Park located, economy is relatively behindhand. The locals used to make their lives on fishing and farming. The establishment of the Qingshan Industrial Park and the arrival of Chinese equipment have also improved the economic situation. “Some of them now become operators, while others find jobs in the factory.” The customer said.

It is reported that Indonesia's nickel ore resources are abundant and the reserves are about 1.3 billion tons. With the deepening cooperation of the “Belt and Road”, more and more Sany products come here to boost local nickel resources development.

In addition to the well-known Qingshan Industrial Park, Sany excavators also participated in the development and construction of some other nickel mining industrial parks in Weda Bay. At present, the number of Sany excavators has exceeded 3,000 in Indonesia.
