SANY Signs MOU for PV + Energy Storage Projects in Romania at Intersolar Europe

At 10:00 a.m. local time on June 23, during Intersolar Europe, SANY Microgrid Business Unit’s Overseas Investment & Development Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Energy Investment LLC. The agreement was signed between Mr. Xu Zhongtian, General Manager of SANY Microgrid Business Unit Overseas Investment & Development Company, and Mr. Marius Ion, CEO and Founder of Energy Investment LLC.

The MOU covers the joint development of two photovoltaic and energy storage projects in Romania, with capacities of 3MW/5MWh and 150MW/600MWh respectively.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing renewable energy deployment and supporting the energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe. Both parties will work together by leveraging their respective strengths in project development, grid integration processes, and local financing and structuring capabilities.

The partnership aims to support the development of scalable solar-plus-storage solutions, contributing to improved grid flexibility and increased renewable energy penetration in the region.

Energy Investment LLC is a US-invested renewable energy development platform active across Romania and Eastern Europe. The company focuses on photovoltaic, energy storage, and integrated renewable energy projects, with experience in cross-border green financing and project execution.
