Sany Heavy Energy\'s hit product SE11520 gains huge profit in 2015

The hit product of Sany Heavy Energy, SE11520, high-speed double-fed wind generating set, has created the sales volume of over 107 million USD last year, by relying on its high generating capacity and economic benefit.

This product is adaptable, especially, in the low wind speed area, which is now attaching more and more attention and asks for more powerful generator set.

“Larger capturing wind area and greater wind-capturing capability are necessary if the high-efficient electricity generating is achieved in the low-wind area.” Chen Xiuqiang, director of complete machine department of Sany Heavy Energy Research Institute, said. It is also the original aim for the R&D of SE11520 high speed double-fed wind generating set, Chen added.

The research and develop of this product had begun since 2013 and in Nov 2014, the product was off the assembly line. This power generation assembly features 115 meter in rotor diameter rated power of 2.0MW, making it applicable in medium and low wind area where the annual average wind speed is about 7.5 meters per second.

SE11520 is also a more intelligent wind power generation assembly. According to the introduction of Huang Kun, project manager, the control segment of SE11520 can realize real-time adjustment according to the real environment. Huang explained that SE11520 can automatically adjust the relationship between power and rotate speed in order to adapt to the change of environment (such as air density, temperature, and humidity) and the influence of manufacturing error. The perfect matching of the assembly's operating parameter, actual environmental conditions, aerodynamic characteristic and mechanical characteristic can effectively improve the generating capacity and make the equipment more intelligent.

The launch of has changed the overall products layout of Sany Heavy Energy, especially the Typen-Programm and development direction over the next few years. In 2015, the SE11520 high speed double-fed wind generating set achieved batch application and sales. A great number of customers show their intense interest in this product because of its high generating power capacity, fine economic benefits and outstanding performance. Sany Heavy Energy has received many orders and the sale volume of this hit product amounted to over 107 million USD, really deserving the honor of “hit product”.
