12/08/2024

In July 2024, SANY Brazil delivered 20 units of electric terminal tractors to Itapoa Terminais Portuarios S/A, a marine terminal port services provider, marking the kick-off of the largest electric port project in Brazil. The project will not only inject clean energy into the port but also be a milestone of Brazil’s low-carbon development.

According to Sergni Pessoa Rosa Jr., the director of Operations, Technology and Environment of Porto ltapoá, after completion, the project is expected to save 858 thousand liters of fuel for customers and cut the carbon emission of 2,000 tons, fully demonstrating the vital role of green supply chain in sustainable development.

By introducing electric machines, Porto ltapoá is moving toward its goal of cutting carbon footprints and optimizing resource utilization, showing its commitment to the environment and innovation.

“We are honored to be included in the milestone project. Catalyzing the low-carbon transformation of Brazil’s port is not only part of our sustainable development strategy but also a manifestation of our commitment to global environment protection”, stated Hua Xiao, General Manager of SANY Brazil. This delivery further strengthens SANY's influence in the international market, while providing strong support for promoting regional green economy development.
