Safety instruction in maintaining hoist crane

During the maintenance work of hoist crane, special care is required to avoid potential hazards. Below is a general overview of potential risks warned by SANY when performing maintenance to the hoist crane:

Beware of serious or fatal injury when carrying out maintenance to the hoist crane: Lower all loads down to the ground. Shut off the engine and all controlling systems, do not start the maintenance work until all the parts come to a standstill. Display warning plates on outside of the operator's cab to warn that the crane is under maintenance and do not start the engine. 

During the maintenance, unauthorized persons are not allowed to approach the hoist crane. Workers who conduct the maintenance work should wear required personal protection equipment for each given situation. If the maintenance is performed at a height over 2m, an elevated work platform and safety harness are required to be used. Always remember to keep the crane clean for early detection of oil leads, cracked, or loose connections, or any other abnormality and keep the oil nozzle, vent hole, and dipstick clean from dust.

Whenever hydraulic, fuel, lubricating oil lines, or air lines are disconnected, clean the adjacent area as well as the point of disconnects. As soon as the disconnection is made, cap, plug, or tape each line to prevent entry of foreign material.

After finishing the maintenance work, clean and inspect all parts. Be sure all passages and holes on the hoist crane are open. Cover all parts to keep them clean and leave new parts in their containers until ready for next assembly.
