With over a decade of experience in marketing, Lina Navas's journey with SANY has been nothing short of transformative. Having been with SANY for three and a half years, Lina has witnessed SANY’s tremendous growth in the Colombia market.
“Starting at SANY felt like starting from scratch,” recalled Lina. Having experience working in the marketing departments of John Deere and Hitachi, there is no doubt that Lina is seasoned in both the industry and marketing. However, this is the first time she worked directly with OEM and in an unfamiliar culture. Most importantly, the company was in its primary stage in Colombia with only 5 employees at the time she joined, which means her initial role was multifaceted, combining administrative duties, human resources, and marketing responsibilities. In her first year, Lina quickly set up the local websites for Colombia, Mexico, and Peru while struggling to overcome the cultural shock. “I always bear in mind Mr. Xu Ming’s advice, ‘Slowness is the enemy of being excellent’,” Lina shared.
Today, Lina is the marketing director of SANY Colombia in charge of market promotion, including social media network operations, events management, advertising campaign design, and the company’s strategic plan support.
Her three and half years of experience at SANY have been marked by significant personal and professional development. Lina describes her experience as a journey of continuous learning and adaptation, especially in navigating diverse cultures. “Demand drives excellence,” Lina asserts, emphasizing the importance of ongoing improvement.
