Sany Group would like to contribute to advancing South Africa's infrastructure construction in cooperation with Chinese and South African partners.

Liang Wengen, Chairman of Sany Group, made the remarks at a meeting with South African President Jacob Zuma at local time on May 26, together with leaders of the State Power Investment Corporation and the CRCC High-tech Equipment Corporation Limited (CRCCE).

They exchanged ideas on the development of housing industrialization, energy and transportation and cooperation to expand international capacity.

China and South Africa are in good relationship and have potential for greater cooperation, said Zuma, adding that South Africa welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest in South Africa's infrastructure and engineering areas and bring the country high equipment manufacturing technologies to enhance South Africa's industrial level and create job opportunities.

Sany Group, a leader of equipment manufacturing in China, saw its sales amount of South Africa Business Unit reach more than US $200 million over the past ten years and over 1,000 sets of Sany's machines in use. Sany's equipment was involved in many major construction projects including the Kusile Power Plant project and the Transnet Container Depot project, wining trust in local market.

South Africa is a high industrialization country with great demand in housing, transportation, and in energy infrastructure, with housing as the priority of the country's infrastructure construction.

During the visit, the first overseas precast concrete house built by Sany completed construction and was open to the public on May 27 in Johannesburg. It will serve as an affordable housing model in South Africa.

Sany also plans to set up a housing industrialization R&D center in South Africa to realize production locally and transfer relevant technologies to South Africa.

In addition, Sany Group signed a cooperation agreement with the South African Transnet to strengthen collaboration in local production of port machinery and logistics equipment.

Clean energy manufacturing and development technologies are also expected to be introduced to South Africa with more cooperation in personnel and technological exchanges.
