SANY Large-tonnage Mining Trucks Deployed in World-class Gold Mine

Recently, five SET150S large-tonnage electric-wheel hybrid mining trucks, locally assembled by SANY West Africa, were officially delivered to the Akyem Gold Mine of Zijin Mining, providing strong support for the green transformation of this world-class mine.

As one of the largest gold mines in Ghana, the Akyem processing plant has a design capacity of 8.5 million tons per year, with a stable annual gold output of around 10 tons. Currently, Zijin Mining is actively advancing the intelligent and green upgrade of its mines. The large-scale introduction of SANY hybrid heavy-duty mining trucks is a key measure to stabilize production capacity and build a low-carbon mining operation.

The SET150S delivered this time features advanced diesel-electric hybrid technology, equipped with an intelligent energy management system. Under harsh operating conditions, it not only delivers powerful performance but also efficiently recovers and optimizes energy. On-site test data shows a fuel savings rate of over 14%, significantly reducing operating costs while effectively lowering carbon emissions. This will strongly support Zijin Mining's global strategy for low-carbon and efficient mining operations.

In line with the "No More Waiting" service philosophy, SANY West Africa has simultaneously set up an exclusive consignment parts warehouse at the Akyem mine site. This significantly shortens parts response times, improves equipment availability and maintenance efficiency, and provides solid support for continuous, stable, and efficient mine production.

Looking ahead, SANY will continue to deepen its efforts and accelerate the global rollout of large electric-wheel trucks like the SET150S, helping mines worldwide transition to energy-saving and low-carbon operations while delivering greater value to customers.
