Three units of SCC8300 crawler cranes from SANY were used to undertake the heavy lifting works on the construction site of Wheatstone LNG facility and gas plant, one of the largest energy projects in Australia.
Since the plant is located at Ashburton North, on the coast of Western Australia, three SCC8300 crawler cranes must withstand the high temperature and sea corrosion. Guaranteed with wide adaptability, our crawler crane can operate well in a temperature range from minus 30 degree Celsius to 50 degree Celsius, at the altitude less than 2000m as well as in the extreme windy areas.
The 300 ton crawler crane is built for the high-end market, powered by Cummins QSM11 engine, rated power of 298kW (400hP) @1800rpm, meets the EPA Tier 4, EU IV emission standards. The crane machine's boom rated lifting capacity is 300t and the lifting moment is 1652Nm, and there are seven operating conditions of boom, combined boom, luffing jib, fixed jib, heavy fixed jib, combined boom + light fixed jib, and boom + luffing jib + light fixed jib provided to suit for the different lifting works on site.
Moreover, our SCC8300 crawler crane is designed according to the ANSI B30.5 EN13000 and GB3811 standards, with the transport dimension and weight complying with the domestic and international road transport regulations. Once delivered on the construction site, the crane machine can be quickly installed thanks to the self-assembly and disassembly design. Our crawler cranes completed the lifting works at Wheatstone LNG plant with high performance and efficiency.
At the same time, during the construction, our service engineers did their best to keep the three crawler crane in uptime. Regular inspection and maintenance on site were done to ensure the crane machines could operate well and complete the construction as planned on schedule.
