2016-07-05

In recent years, the excavator has become one of the most important construction machinery. Here are some important tips on excavator operation safety protection measures.

1. When transfer an excavator to construction site, the excavator should be transported by using a tractor-trailer. When it needed to be transported under special circumstances, it should be removed arm and bucket rotating parts and be fixed at first. It should be carried on inspection, and lubrication for the excavators is needed when walking for every 500-1000m.

2. If the excavator walks on the soft ground, sleepers and pads should be put on the ground. If the excavator works in the swamp areas, subgrade treatment should be dealt with and special track shoes need to be replaced.

3. It is strictly prohibited from mining without blasting five-level rocks or frozen ground.

4. When the excavator is doing shovel, it should walks on the loose soil, its work surface should not exceed specified maximum excavation height and depth.

5. Operational areas should be free of obstacles and pedestrians. Whistle signal should be made before working, and then try to dig several times. After making sure it is operated normally, the work can start.

6. When the excavator walks, it should maintain a level position.

7. When there are large, hard stones or obstacles, they should be cleaned before digging. Bucket shouldn’t be used to broke stones or frozen soil.

8. When mining the cliff, protective measures should be taken. There should be no room for loose big stone at working face. If there is danger of landslides, it should be dealt with immediately and transform the excavators to safe areas.

9. When the excavator is walking, it is prohibited to close to the transmission lines. The distance between machinery and transmission lines should be in line with relevant regulations.

10. When the operator left the cab, no matter how long it is, the bucket should be put on the ground.
