Maiden show of SANY SCC40000A crawler crane
On July 16, the erection of the fourth propylene splitter tower of China's first integrated production line of rubber and plastics was successfully accomplished in northern China. SANY's recently released SCC40000A undertook this assembly as it was the heaviest construction task of the 16-billion-yuan project, the completion of which will be a boost for the local industrial sector.
With a lifting capacity up to 4,000 t and a lifting moment reaching 90,000 tm, the SCC40000A has proven to be a robust hoisting solution developed by SANY to support its engineering partners.
According to Mr. Zhang Yang, project manager of the SANY Equipment Research Center, this crane carries more than 20 patents, uses a superlift counterweight trolley with double crawlers, its walking system has 4 crawlers and 8 drives and it has V-type twin lattice booms. It covers an area of 3,000 square meters with the twin lattice booms reaching 120 m. Transporting the crane takes 150 trailer loads of 30 t each.
High-capacity crawler cranes of 4,000 t are highly technologically demanding and require a great deal of precision. The SCC40000A has demonstrated its ability to withstand demanding working conditions with outstanding performance.
