Sustainability Strategy
We are at a critical moment in human history, where every one of us, by making choices today, can decide what the world we live in will be like tomorrow. As a responsible, visionary, and aspiring global enterprise, SANY supports the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In decision-making, we focus on global trends and challenges, international norms of responsible business behavior, and stakeholders’ expectations.
Sustainability Framework
Carbon Neutrality
Faced with the global challenges of climate change, SANY is unwavering in its commitment to implementing carbon reduction measures throughout the entire production process. Our goal is to establish a green production chain that starts with carbon reduction at the source, maintains interconnectivity throughout, and emphasizes emission reductions at every stage, thereby ensuring an efficient and environmentally friendly approach to production.
Renewable Energy
With vigorous measures to promote renewable energy, SANY accelerated its use of clean energy including solar, and hydrogen. By the end of 2023, 21 of SANY Heavy Industry’s subsidiaries had photovoltaic power generation equipment in use, with the total clean energy usage amounting to 44,815.9 thousand kWh, a proportion of 6.55 percent. In addition, SANY has been carrying out business layouts in sectors including wind energy, solar energy, hydrogen energy, and energy storage.
People
In 2023, SANY conducted 394 training sessions that were attended by 23,993 people - about 93% of SANY employees participated in various trainings with an average training time of 121.4 hours. SANY’s total training expenditure reached USD 7.73 million. The “SANY Public Welfare” platform now has 17,002 registered volunteers. SANY now has 51 volunteer teams participated by 714 people, with a cumulative volunteer service length of 2,266.2 hours.
