Sany Products Win China Red Star Design Award & Golden Pin Design Award 2014

Four models of products from Sany Heavy Machinery win multiple honors from Golden Pin Design Award and China Red Star Design Award in 2014, which demonstrates that the design strength of Sany is highly recognized by renowned international organizations.

On December 11, 2014, the Golden Pin Design Award, known as “the best design award in global Chinese market” and “Golden Horse Award in design”, announced its awards to 416 pieces of products. Sany Heavy Machinery self-developed SY215C10 hydraulic excavator and SYL958 wheel loader both won the awards; in particular, SYL958 wheel loader was awarded the “Best Design of the Year”. Sany Heavy Machinery is the first equipment manufacturer in China to win the Golden Pin Design Award.

In 2006, China Red Star Design Award was established in China to encourage good design and promote design industry. Along with ICSID Endorsement, Red Star has also realized the mutual recognition with “Good Design” from Korea and “International Design Award” from Australia in 2010 and 2012. On December 12, 2014, four products (SY215C10 hydraulic excavator, SY35U hydraulic excavator, SYL958 wheel loader, BL70C backhoe loader) of Sany Heavy Machinery were awarded with prizes at the China Red Star Design Award ceremony.

The achievements made by Sany in industrial design owe to not only the persistent efforts of Sany R&D team over the past years but also our development philosophy. Adhering to the mission statement of “Quality Changes the World”, Sany puts 5-7% of annual sales revenue into research and development. This is an effort to keep Sany products on the cutting edge of technology.

Experts believe that Sany Heavy Machinery’s performance at the two awards is a display of its industrial design capability, which greatly promotes its brand image and supports the company to build high-end products in the future.
