16/11/2016

The Baling River Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the Baling River Valley in the mountainous Guizhou province, China. Several tower cranes from SANY are used to undertake the construction of this world wonder.

The Baling River Bridge is 2,237m (7,339ft) long with suspension span between towers of 1,088m (3,570ft) and a height of 370m (1,214ft) from deck to water. It is one of the two super high suspension bridges with four-lane route, significantly reduces travel time between Guizhou and nearby provinces. Moreover, it attracts many tourists from all over the world to see the spectacular scene and the nearby Huangguoshu Waterfall.

SANY tower cranes mainly worked on the building of the bridge towers. The east tower is 186m (610ft) high and the west tower is 201m (659ft) high, each of them is supported by a group of thirty-two 2.5m-diameter piles. The pile foundation length for east tower is 60m, and the average pile foundation length in the left /right of west tower is 31m/41m.

As the Bridge is built to connect the mountain ranges and hang above a large valley, our tower cranes must overcome the difficulties caused by the rugged landscape, hostile environment and changing temperature during construction.

SANY's tower crane is made of high strength steel structure, fine coating and robot welding ensure that its mast, boom, and balance jib are strong and durable. Multiple safety devices and intelligent control systems make it easy for the crane operator to run the machine safely and smoothly. At the same time, SANY service engineers keep a close contact with the customer on site so as to adjust and maintain the tower cranes timely according to the working environment. The customer speaks highly of the operating performance of SANY tower cranes over the years.
