09/08/2016

A delegation led by Sany President Tang Xiuguo was welcomed by Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on July 26, and talked on strengthening cooperation in the Malaysian housing construction, port and renewable energy industries.

Tang spoke on Sany's achievements in the global market and detailed its experience in equipment manufacturing, housing industrialization, clean energy and educational finance.

He also spoke on Sany's involvement in Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia, the national affordable housing program instituted for middle-income Malaysian households. Sany equipment will be used for the construction in Terengganu State, on the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

“Sany plans to build a manufacturing base for precast concrete houses in Malaysia,” Tang said, adding that Sany will transform the traditional housing construction industry using new materials, new technology, new equipment, and the power of the Internet. “We can increase productivity, enhance quality and reduce costs,” he remarked.

In line with Sany's overseas operation strategy that focuses on capacity cooperation, Sany will also employ Malaysian workers and train them in housing industrialization technologies, thus promoting job creation and skill development.

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi stated that he intends to increase cooperation with Sany in housing and port construction, renewable energy and education. “We hope Sany will bring modern ideas, improved industrial manufacturing systems and the PC house model to Malaysia, helping boost the local economy,” he said.

Sany entered the Malaysian market in 2007 and has generated over $119 million (800 million yuan) in sales over the 9-year period. The superior performance of Sany machinery in a number of key local projects, including the construction of Malaysia's second-largest airport and work at Port Klang - its largest port, has allowed Sany to build good brand recognition and develop further in Malaysian market.
