It is very important to maintain your excavator machine in tough environment if you want your machine to keep doing excellent performance in extreme working conditions. The followings are some tips for maintaining the excavator in demanding job sites.
1, Work in muddy water, rain and snow
Clean your excavator and lubricate every joints of the machine after work. Check the loose and damaged parts and repair that in time.
2, Work in the sea
Use fresh water to wash the parts that are submerged in the seawater to avoid any parts being corroded. After the cleaning, lubricate the whole machine and fix the loose and damaged parts.
3, Work in outdoors
When working in outdoors, the air filter of the excavator machine should be changed more frequently than usual to prevent the dust entering the machine. The digger’s radiator is easy to be invaded by dust, which will affect heat dissipation, so the radiator should be regularly washed by fresh water. The starter and motor rectifier should follow the same rule.
4, Work in the mine
Attentions should be paid to the chassis, wheels and belt since there are too many hard rocks in the mine. The crawler belt should be set tighter than working in the plain ground. The working device should be reinforced and replaced frequently since it is easily damaged working in the mountainous regions,
5, Work under low temperature
When the excavator machine works in low temperature, special anti-freezing diesel should be used and anti-freezing agent should be added in the cooling water to avoid damaging the water tank. The accumulator should be charged and stored well to avoid the electrolyte being frozen.
