08/11/2016

Port of Gibson rented SANY's SCC4000 crawler crane from Gulf Special Services to help tear down the oil platform and derrick from the scrapped ocean ship in the shipyard of Morgan City, Louisiana.

The SCC4000 crawler crane's maximum rated lifting capacity of is up to 400tons, maximum lifting torque is 2090t.m, and the machine is capable of supporting 11 types of operating conditions. In this project, since the shipyard is located at the wetland on the seaside, the muddy ground demands highly on the stability of our crawler crane. Moreover, many wasted materials are also stacked around the shipyard, which are likely to affect the crane operation. Nevertheless, SCC4000 crawler crane completes the lifting work with high performance in time and to the customer's satisfaction.

SCC4000 400 ton crawler crane adopts the HDB operating condition during the lifting, with maximum lifting weight reaching 250 tons. The crane's large chassis design ensures a stable operation within 360° rotation despite the loose ground condition. Safety techniques including real-time display of running data, emergency electric control, lightning protection, etc. help the crane operator to run the crawler crane more safely and smoothly.

While tearing down the ocean ship, SANY's crawler crane outperforms the competitors by showing high stability and productivity, and it takes only couple of months for the crane machine to dismantle the oil platform and derrick from several old ocean ships in the shipyard.

The customer Gulf Special Services speaks highly of the expressive performance of our crawler crane. At the same time, our service engineer provides timely after-sale services, doing regular maintenance on site even during the hot summer in July.

In addition to this shipyard lifting work, SANY's crawler cranes have also been widely used in many of the Gulf Company's crane services for the petrochemical industry, oil and gas, thermoelectric plants, wind power, offshore and general construction.
