SANY Port Machinery concluded its new year electric product launch event in Zhuhai, China, on January 18, with over 300 specialists from around the world witnessing the new achievement. The event unveiled 15 new electric port machines, including the reach stacker, the forklift trucks, and the mini automatic charging and swapping station, displaying SANY’s efforts in battling against climate change.
Building greener and smarter ports
As one of the practices of SANY’s decarbonization strategy, products launched in the event adopt core energy-saving techs, covering pure electricity, extended range, and battery swapping. The pure electric reach stacker and forklift truck are equipped with an energy recovery system that enables 4 kWh of electricity recovery per hour, thus the comprehensive energy consumption is 20% lower than that of similar products. Under the fuel mode, the extended-range reach stacker reduces 45% of energy consumption without using charging pile and urea solution.
In addition, products are developed according to different working conditions. For the complex conditions of the terminal, SANY developed the industry’s first battery-swapping trolley and mini automatic charging and swapping station which enables fast battery swapping in 8 minutes.
Supported by intellectual technology, the bulky port machinery becomes smarter. Intelligent applications applied to these products, covering intelligent control, 360° pedestrian identification for collision avoidance, automatic identification of container number, and automatic container alignment, make management for both operators and equipment more safe, efficient, and convenient.
