SANY President Tang Xiuguo shares successful investment experience in India

The 4th India-China Strategic Economic Dialogue was held in New Delhi, India on October 6 and 7. SANY Group President Tang Xiuguo attended the Energy Working Group Meeting and shared SANY’s successful experience in cooperation with India. “We will deepen the collaboration and contribute to the ‘Make in India’ initiative,” Tang Xiuguo remarked. Anju Bhalla, Joint Secretary of Indian Ministry of Power highly praised SANY’s efforts in India.

“SANY provides a large quantity of equipment for India’s energy and infrastructure construction. We appreciate SANY’s contribution to ‘Make in India’ and Indian economic development.” Anju Bhalla said.

SANY’s achievements in “Make in India” was also recognized by Xu Shaoshi, Director of China National Development and Reform Commission and Luo Zhaohui, Chinese ambassador to India. They hope SANY could promote its localization experience and make consistent efforts for the mutual development of China and India.

Localization is essential to SANY’s business development in India. SANY’s corporate social responsibility and devotion to India enlarges its localization which has been achieved in the whole industry chain from product design, R&D, manufacture and sales, echoing the “Make in India” plan initiated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. SANY India, a wholly owned subsidiary of SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., actively recruits local talents. Over 95% of its employees including senior executives are from India, such as CEO, chief business officer, managing director.

“We would seize the ‘Make in India’ opportunity and build India the manufacturing center of SANY,” said Tang Xiuguo. 

Since its establishment in 2002, SANY India is gradually becoming an important manufacturing center, exerting its influence in Asia, Middle East and Africa. The past 15 years have witnessed SANY India’s remarkable growth with more than 10,000 construction machines sold. Right now, SANY is building its wind turbines assembly line in India, planning to establish India the wind turbine manufacture center besides China.
