Recently on social media, the swift and impactful efforts of the SANY Group in the aftermath of the Moroccan earthquake garnered attention. A post by Wang Wenbin, the spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by images and videos, highlighted SANY Heavy Industry's rapid deployment of seven pieces of heavy machinery to assist in road clearance in the affected regions.

The 6.9 magnitude earthquake, which struck Morocco on September 8th, resulted in 2,946 fatalities and left 5,674 injured. The affected area, with its rugged terrain and intricate geological structure, saw over half of its buildings damaged. The remote nature of the region and the initial lack of heavy machinery hindered immediate relief and medical assistance.

Acting promptly, SANY, together with the Morocco dealer Forges de Bazas, dispatched seven pieces of machinery and a team of engineers to assist in road clearance and relief work. By September 10th, SANY's equipment was operational in SIDI HSSAINE, one of the hardest-hit areas, ensuring a vital lifeline for the delivery of crucial relief supplies.
