Phase II of SANY’s Indonesia Industrial Park marked a significant milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony held on September 12, 2023, at the KIM Industrial Park of Indonesia. Mr. Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Dr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, M.Si.* Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Xiang Wenbo, Rotating Chairman of SANY Group attended the ceremony.

Thanks to the strategic layout of the Lighthouse Factory, SANY has grown into the largest construction machinery enterprise in Indonesia. Currently, SANY boasts a fleet of over 24,000 units actively used in significant construction projects throughout Indonesia.

The Phase II of SANY’s Indonesia Industrial Park will cover an area of 105 acres, with a total investment of USD 150 million. It will primarily focus on the production of excavators and off-highway mining trucks. Once completed, the annual production capacity is expected to reach USD 690 million and provide employment opportunities for 2,000 individuals.

 SANY was drawn to the Indonesian market due to the country’s promising market potential, abundant resources, and stable political environment. In 2020, the company set up its first Lighthouse Factory outside China in Indonesia. Phase I of Indonesia Industrial Park mainly produces excavators ranging from 13 tons to 55 tons for the Southeast Asia market, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 units.

Compared to Phase I, the Phase II industry is larger in size and advanced in technology:

• The incorporation of an automatic material distribution system coupled with digital technology has automated production and management within the industry.
• The digital twin system, interconnected with SANY’s global production control center and the Rootcloud platform, creates a digital industry in the cloud, allowing real-time data collection.
• The process simulation system enables the export of systematic smart manufacturing.
• The smart manufacturing operation management system, digital systems, and automated production equipment contributed to a highly intelligent level of production.

SANY’s Lighthouse Factory in Indonesia adheres to the standards of Industrial 4.0 and integrates the insights gained from multiple Lighthouse Factories in China, bringing advanced manufacturing technology to Indonesia and nurturing talents for local development.
