SANY has achieved another milestone with the batch delivery of SET150S large-tonnage hybrid trucks to GMC in Ghana. This marks the model’s first entry into West Africa and reflects SANY’s commitment to supporting global mining customers with efficiency and sustainability.

To meet GMC’s 8-million-ton annual manganese production target, SANY launched a green delivery channel. Internal teams worked seamlessly across manufacturing, shipping, and on-site assembly. Despite the rainy season and local challenges, SANY’s service engineers arrived early, coordinated resources, and completed the first batch of 8 trucks 15 days ahead of schedule. Impressed by the speed and quality of delivery, GMC immediately placed a follow-up order for 8 more trucks.

The SET150S is purpose-built for demanding mining conditions. Its multi-power hybrid system—two Weichai WP17 engines plus a 148 kWh battery—delivers 1,400 kW of total output, about 15% higher than comparable models. With its intelligent energy management system, the truck optimizes engine and battery operation, enables regenerative braking, and keeps engines running in their most efficient range. After more than a month of operation in Ghana, results showed fuel savings exceeding 14%, significantly lowering costs while ensuring reliable uphill haulage performance.

Since its launch in 2022, the SET150S has been delivered to over 10 countries—from Uzbekistan to Peru. Customers worldwide have praised its fuel economy, durability, and dependable service support. Entering Ghana further elevates its global reputation as a benchmark in large-tonnage haulage solutions.

As SANY continues to expand the SET150S and SET240S across international markets, we remain committed to enabling the mining industry’s shift toward low-carbon, high-efficiency operations.
