UAE Palm Jumeirah Island Construction

2016-08-10

Palm Jumeirah is the flagship project with a total investment of USD 14 billion of Nakheel, a company owned by the Dubai government in United Arab Emirates in 2009. Known as the eighth wonder of the world, the Palm covers an area of 7 million square meters and extends 6.5 kilometres into the Arabian Gulf. The island is surrounded by a 12 kilometre-long crescent shaped breakwater built with over 7 million tons of rock and sand.

Two units of Sany crawler cranes SCC800C and SCC100 have been purchased for this project. In spite of the high temperature and sea water corrosion, Sany crawler cranes managed to work 24 hours a day and performed with no failure in 200 hours of continuous work. Once again, Sany crawler crane proved its excellent performance and fine quality, which also recognized by our customer.
