The CEO of Sany, Tang Xiuguo, attends the India Manufacturing Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

To show the world India’s manufacturing capacity, and attract investment at home and abroad, the “India Manufacturing Center” exhibition was held in Bombay at the beginning of the year. Indian Prime Minister Mr. Modi, Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lewen, Finnish Prime Minister Juha Sipila and Indian political and commercial leaders attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. Sany Group attended the exhibition as a Chinese enterprise. CEO Tang Xiuguo represented Sany at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The “India Manufacturing Center” is a part of the India manufacturing week exhibition which lasted for 6 days. Modi said, the 21st century of Asia is full of opportunities, especially for India. India’s subway network has been laid out in 50 cities, and the government is working on developing the infrastructure. Construction of highway, port, railway and the like are rapidly expanding. It is likely that in the future, India will become one of the most open countries in welcoming foreign investment.

The “India Manufacturing Center” was attended by government representatives from 49 countries, and enterprise representatives from 68 countries. As one of the only two Chinese enterprises, the Sany exhibit occupied an outdoor venue of 1200 square meters. On display were excavators, cranes, engines, cylinders, controllers, operator cabs and other parts, some of which were made in India.

During this event, China’s counselor to India Li Bojun visited Sany’s booth and Tang Xiuguo. Mr. Tang also communicated with various government and business leaders of India, such as the president of Reliance Industry Mukesh Ambani, the president of ESSAR GROUP Shashi Ruia, the president of TATA, and the CEO of J&K.
