SANY Contributes New Energy Battery Material Base Construction for a Sustainable Future
In the heartland of Morocco's Jorf Iasfar region lies a groundbreaking project poised to reshape the global energy landscape. Currently, ten SANY machines are operating diligently on building a new energy battery material base. The base is set to generate zero waste, low carbon, and recyclable battery materials to accelerate the transition of the global energy mix towards renewable sources.
Utilizing Morocco’s sizeable reserves of mineral resources, the project started in 2023, aiming to build a complete battery industry chain for electric vehicles that integrates battery material development to battery recycling. With production scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, the base is expected to provide battery materials to power over one million electric vehicles annually.
Ten SANY machines, including four STC250E truck cranes, one STC700 truck crane, one STC750, three SY245H excavators, and one BHL75 backhoe loader, play key roles in the success of the project. The batch of machines is working busily with clear division. Three medium excavators handle the foundation construction, while cranes efficiently host heavy construction materials and assist with the installation. The durability, stability, low fuel consumption, and comfortable cabs of SANY machines are highly appreciated by both the project side and operators.

SANY, as one of the first construction engineering enterprises entering the African market, exported a grader to Morocco as early as 2002 which is also SANY’s first export product, representing a significant milestone in the company's development history. Over the past decades, SANY has witnessed the development of the continent and expects to deliver a green, clean, and sustainable future for the land with its efforts.
