In 2014, several SANY road rollers took part in the Australian rural road network project, which was undertaken by the Carrathool municipal government in southeast Australia.
Located in New South Wales, the Carrathool Shire is adjacent to the Mid-Western Highway. The shire comprises an area of 18,933 square kilometers, with over 15,000 square kilometers being used in rural pursuits. With the huge rural area, the project is estimated to be the second largest rural network in New South Wales.
The overall construction length is more than 2500km, so it required the machines to work at least 8 hours per day without stop. Two SMG200 motor graders, two SSR200 rollers and two YL25E rollers from SANY were used on the project.
“To be honest, in the beginning we are not that optimistic about Chinese brand because of the different geography and our strict requirements to the road roller’s quality,” the person in charge of the project expressed. In order to guarantee the equipment’s after sales service, generally they would choose a local brand.
Summer in there is really hot and the temperature is often exceeds 40℃. Therefore, it has a strict requirement of the road rollers’ engine and its cooling system. “SANY service is really considerate and thorough”, experienced operator Tony remarked.
SANY road rollers boast higher compaction efficiency. Its excitation force is 10% higher compared with other products, which results in 16.7% higher production.
