Sany Ranks as Top-Selling Excavator Brand in China for July 2016

Sany sold 707 excavators across China over the month of July, coming out with the highest excavator sales in the market, as reported by construction machinery trade website 21-sun.com.

Industry excavator sales have increased by 13.2%, with statistics showing that total excavator sales from the 27 major excavator manufacturers in China amounted to 3,669.

 

For the July period, sales volume of small excavators (13T and below) stood at 1,684, making 45.9% of total sales, 1,502 medium excavators (13-29T) were sold, to make up 40.9%, and 483 large excavators (30T and above) were sold, making 13.16% of total sales. The report shows that sales for medium excavators increased slightly from those of the previous period.

Sany’s small excavators dominated the market, with Sany’s sales volume alone reaching 351, to make up 20.8% of total sales. Its medium and large excavator sales were the second and third-ranking in their respective categories.

Domestic brands have continued to dominate the excavator market in China, with a combined market share of 51%. Japanese and South Korean brands hold 29% of the market share, while European and American manufacturers hold 20%.

Sany Heavy Machinery’s also performed well for its international excavator sales for the first seven months of 2016. Between January and July, Sany sold 1,655 excavators to overseas markets, making it the top excavator exporter from China.
