June 30, the 10018th mini excavator was rolled out in SANY, already exceeding the total production of the whole year of 2016. The excavator sales of SANY this year is expected to reach 117.4% of its peak sales in 2011. May 2017, SANY’s excavator market share in China rose to 22% from 12% in 2011, higher than the sum of the second and third brands in the market. SANY has topped the China’s excavator market for six consecutive years.
In 2017, the booming excavator market in China has witnessed an significant increase of sales than last year. The data show that the accumulative excavator sales volume Jan-Jun across China reached 75,068 units, an increase of 100.5% year-on-year growth and higher than the total figure in 2016. Over half of the excavators are compact models.
“The rapid growth of SANY performance in the first half of 2017 is contributed by the active adjustment of product structures of the company, in addition to the recovery of market demand,” pointed out by experts. Furthermore, SANY has dealt with overcapacity and overdue payment, ensuring the healthy operation.
In recent years, backed by the Belt and Road initiative, SANY has proactively expanded the global market. The business abroad has been growing by 20% each year, registering 42.93% of SANY’s total performance. In addition, SANY has made explorations outside the traditional construction machinery sector, for instance, port machinery, green energy and precast concrete housing, which boost SANY’s growth enormously.
