Xiang Wenbo, president of SANY Heavy Industry, addressed at the SANY First Global Dealer Summit, Nov 21-22, in China's Kunshan city. He introduced to the dealers the SANY's development strategy in global markets.

Xiang said SANY not only has a strong position in Chinese market, but is actively developing its business abroad. From 2002 to 2016, SANY has exported over 20,000 machines in total, ranked NO.1 in the industry by the export size, and with the highest export growth rate in the past five years. Outside China, SANY has 5 R&D and manufacturing bases, 11 divisions and 180 dealers, with its business covering over 150 countries and regions.

The company's vision is to build SANY Heavy Industry a world-class enterprise, which will achieve a total profit of 1.6 billion RMB (232 million USD) and sales volume of 20 billion RMB (2.9 billion USD) by 2019.

To achieve this goal, SANY has adopted five major strategies, including three focus strategies that concentrate on certain countries, products and major accounts, operation by product line, localization, dual-brand and E-commerce, making SANY the industry-leading company in 3-5 years.

In his speech, Xiang highlights SANY's localization and cooperation with Palfinger and Putzmeister.

Localization of production and human resources is critical to SANY's international development. It has built production facilities in USA, Germany, India and Brazil to provide customized equipment to the local markets. SANY has also been recruiting local employees to play key roles, for instance, CEO, service engineers and salesperson.

In addition, by integrating the strength of Palfinger and Putzmeister, SANY has expanded the product portfolios, reduced costs of core components, increased the market coverage and competitiveness, making a strong presence in the concrete machinery and crane markets.

What's more, SANY's global development is highly consistent with "The Belt and Road" initiative, with 70%-80% of its overseas sales made in the countries and regions along "The Belt and Road".

Apart from conventional business, SANY has been actively exploring new fields, such as housing industrialization, smart port, new energy and intelligent oil field exploitation.
