Five sets of Sany 2.0 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) were purchased by AVIC International for US Ralls Wind Farm in 2010; this marked the first wind power project Sany had embarked on in the US.
Ralls Wind Farm is located in Llano Estacado, northwestern Texas, and covers a total area of 2.05 square kilometers.
Construction of Ralls Wind Farm began end of 2010, by June 2011, foundation building, turbine lifting, along with road and substation construction were all complete.
Sany's five SE8720 wind turbine generators were connected to the grid on July 21, 2011, and passed all assessments by September 7. They produced an estimated 36 million kilowatt-hours of energy annually and had a 96.3% availability factor in 2012.
The US Ralls Wind Farm showcases the top-grade performance of Sany wind turbines and continues to offer local communities a sustainable and eco-friendly on-grid power supply.
